Our mission is to encourage as many people as possible to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle habits, because our habits define who we are. According to many researchers our habits control up to 50% of our daily activities. It's the automatic state our brain switches into to save energy. It would be nice, if more people were aware of their daily habits and how they work.We want to motivate and empower everyone to obtain as many healthy emotional and physical habits as possible and to become happier in life.

Our goal is to build Workouthabit into the number one wellness company transforming corporate and individual wellness and happiness by providing the most innovative and creative services and products.  We would love our clients to associate the Workouthabit brand with creativity, innovation, flexibility, honesty and recognise it as a superior service provider.

What is Wellness?

Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth.

We getting richer but not happier? Why does extreme consumption not increase our sense of satisfaction? Our "Total Wellness" approach combines much more, than merely fitness and nutrition. To live a happy life we must address frequently overlooked aspects of our lives, such living in harmony with nature, having positive social interactions with others and developing good communications skills and  meaningful relationships.  We need to become more aware of our thoughts, feelings and emotions; foster an effective system of stress management and develop positive attitudes to our life and the lives of others.  


What are the 8 dimensions of wellness?

Physical- We need physical activity to accomplish our daily tasks without fatigue. In order to be at optimum fitness we need to combine physical activity and healthy eating habits.  Physical wellness include building muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular strength and endurance and flexibility.  Ask yourself do you have an established daily exercise routine? Do you exercise at least 150 minutes per week? Do you eat clean and try to avoid processed, sugary, salty foods? Are you curious about ingredients and where food comes from? Are you avoiding and minimizing risky behaviors such as alcohol, tobacco and other drugs? Most importantly, physical wellness is about discovering what healthy habits makes you feel better.

Emotional- We need an awareness and acceptance of feelings, behaviours and thoughts and an effective means of stress management. We will look at how to stay positive; how to set priorities in life; how to live life to the full no matter what mistakes and disappointments we encounter; how to train your mind to look at the bright side of things no matter  what happens; and how to build an emotional resilience to help you to deal with life’s ups and downs

Spiritual- Many of us have lost touch with our spiritual side, to reconnect we need to consider the meaning and purpose of existence.  This need not be a religious journey, it is about opening your mind to the bigger picture of life. It may involve meditation, affirmation prayer or other spiritual practises to connect you with higher power or a belief system. What do you believe in? Do you have compassion, the capacity for love or forgiveness, joy or fulfilment? Do you make time for relaxation during your day? We will help you to find answers to these questions and thereby give you a more positive experience of life.

Social- In order to function as human beings we need to build relationships and networks. We will examine the networks you have built up and see if there are changes that could benefit you and your interactions with others around you. This will help you to develop meaningful relationships and help you to get the most out of the time spent with those who are important to you.

Occupational- Do you love your work? Or do you hate it? What we do for a living occupies major parts of our lives. So it is better to do what you love and follow your passion. If you do not follow your passion you will be miserable.It is important to have a balance between life and work. You need to handle workplace stress effectively and build positive relationship with co workers. All jobs should provide opportunities for personal growth.

Environmental- Are you aware of your surroundings? How do you feel about your environment? Do you take action to protect the world around you? Do you try to minimize environmental threats such as air pollution, noise pollution, second hand smoke, water pollution, lettering etc.? Do you recycle? Do you volunteer for worthy causes?

Intellectual- How can you expand your knowledge and skills. Do you consider yourself a creative person? Is is important to engage in creative and stimulating activities, explore new ideas and learn new skills. It is the ability to think critically, make responsible decisions, reason objectively, be open to different point of views. It also emphasize a life long learning and inspires curiosity. 

Financial- What is your relationship with the money? How do you manage scarce resources to live within your means? Do you consider yourself a victim of consumerism? How do you make informed financial decisions and investments? Do you set realistic goals? Everyone has a unique set of needs, values and circumstances.

 

What's your philosophy?

 Our philosophy is that  happiness is a journey not a destination. It is important to look at the different aspects of our lives and sometimes the smallest of changes can improve our chances of being happy now. Our approach is a combination of different types of wellness to develop a balanced body, mind and spirit.    

We are a team who are very passionate about instilling positive habits in your life to make you happier. In our view  the best good habit to start with is to exercise daily. The law of attraction shows that exercise will attract other good habits such as eating healthily, sleeping better, thinking positively and managing stress. For us quality, minimalism, simplicity and creativity are very important in creating these good habits. We will help you to tweak your daily routines to become more healthy.

May I participate if I pregnant?

Yes, but please consult with your physician prior to participating in intense physical activity. The more active and fit you are during pregnancy the better. You might even instill an early exercise habit in your baby, which is great!

Is this training for everyone? Is it good for beginners?

Yes, this training is for everyone; from the novice, who wants to become healthier; to fitness addicts, who are interested in changing their routine and trying something new.


 What's the waiver and release form for?

By registering at Workouthabit, you acknowledge that you have voluntarily chosen to participate in a program of intense physical training. You further acknowledge that Workouthabit strongly recommends that you consult with your physician prior to training. You acknowledge that you are fully informed of the strenuous nature of this exercise programme and the possibility of adverse occurrences including but not limited to, abnormal blood pressure, fainting, heart attack or death. You assume all risk for your health and well being and fully release and hold harmless for any responsability, cost or damage Workout Habit, its instructors, members and employees. You acknowledge that your agreement to this release applies to each time you visit a Workouthabit studio or if personal trainer visits your own home. You hereby acknowledge that you, and any minor under your care, have voluntary chosen to participate. You assume all risk for your health and well being, and that of any minor under your care, and fully release Workouthabit and its trainers from all liability.

 

What's your cancellation policy?

As a general rule of thumb we want to motivate and support you so you stick to the training plan and achieve your goals. We encourage you to be ready for the class early.  

48 hours notice of cancellation is required for all appointments. Notice of less than 48 hours will incur the loss of one full credit or one session. Once purchased your sessions are non refundable and not transferable.  Unused session packages passes will not be liable for refunds.

The Company cannot be held responsible for a particular session or instructor becoming unavailable. If an instructor becomes unavailable we will ensure – where practically possible – that they are replaced by another instructor. Where this is not possible, or where a session is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, we will issue a credit note to all those who have previously booked that class. The Company will not be liable for any other incurred costs or damages to the customers from a cancellation.

 

Re-arranging and rescheduling Wellness session:

At least 48 hrs notice is required to re-arrange a session; this can only be done if the  wellness coach  has the availability.  If the wellness coach is unavailable to re-arrange, the session would either need to be kept or be cancelled.

 

What about payment options?

Payment for booking must be in full before the beginning of sessions.

Payment can be made via website or by prior arrangement by internet banking transfer.  From the start date all sessions must be used within timeframe specified at the time of purchase. 

 

How many wellness coaching sessions can I buy?

You can buy as many wellness coaching sessions as you desire.

 Every month we offer reduced prices for the first 10 clients on the waiting list. So book early for the next month. Training starts every first week of the month.

About Training

What is our training philosophy?

We believe that our bodies are designed to move us around and complete many daily tasks. Similarly we are not designed to sit all day.  However, on average more than 8 hours are spent sitting in our modern lives. Sadly, but sitting became a new smoking of our generation. Moreover, inactivity is the major public health concern of our century and causes many illnesses such as diabetes and obesity.

As a result, many of us turn to gyms in an effort to increase our fitness levels. In our view heavy weight training is good for competitive athletes, but can be counterproductive for the general population and can do more harm than good. Therefore, we believe in functional body-weight training for the general population and the usage of as little equipment as possible.  We are huge fans of incorporating the great outdoors in our training and we look forward to camping, surfing, skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking and trekking. Also, we are huge proponents of group fitness classes, circuits , HIIT and others.

 The body weight type of training is scientifically proven to be more beneficial for our daily lives and decrease our chances of injury. It's a long term, free and simple! You can do it anywhere and anytime!


More about training

There are so many people who cannot do a normal body squat or a push up, I am not even talking about pull ups!  And they are attempting barbell squats, bench presses, overhead presses and even worse dead-lifts. This is asking for nasty injuries and   could be seen in most of the gyms.

 We are more focused on what the human body can do and not how it looks. We focus on getting stronger, improving performance and becoming more functional in daily life.  We are huge fans of progressive functional strength, which refers to how well an exercise translates to the real world.We like to treat our bodies as one and whole. Total wellness for total body!

We offer  creative, efficient and simple way to achieve all rounded  strength. Our workouts are simple and effective body-weight exercises for upper and lower body, core, heart and lungs. There are hundreds of combinations of these and they can be easily adapted to beginner or advanced levels. Our training translates well into daily life. It's a long term investment for lean and healthy body, positive mindset and strong spirit.  Fall in love with lifting your body and working against gravity!

 

Is the training programme standardized or do they vary by coach?

We like creativity and flexibility as it helps to avoid plateaus and boredom. Our programmes are diverse and highly adaptable to specific needs.  And our coaches specializes in an area of training such as street workout, calisthenics , circuits, HIIT, even dance and mixed martial arts. However, the foundation of all our training is body weight and functional training with less equipment. This helps with daily activities and translates to real world situations very well.

 

What's our class structure?

Each class will start with motivation.  We will help you to come up with your own mantra to help get focused for the class

This will be followed by a warm up of 10-15 minutes to prepare your muscles, joints and mind, we like a dynamic and specific whole body warm-up that will prepare your body for what is coming next.

The main session will be a series of the most innovative, creative, efficient body-weight exercise routines, where you train your strength, upper and lower body, your core and your endurance. With adaptable and creative exercise routines the main session is highly customized to your needs, body type and fitness level.

We will finish with a cool down of 5-10 minutes to send a message to your body to relax as part of the cool down we recommend stretch and self massage- we will teach you to stretch every major muscle group after every session. This gives a message to your muscles to relax and finish. We encourage you to use massage to release tension in muscles and help them to relax even more and we also guide how to use foam rollers to self massage.

Why Body weight training?

First, because it's highly accessible and you can train anywhere and anytime. We call it Mindful exercise!

Second, when you are lifting your body weight it promotes a healthy body composition and positive mindset. It is proven that lifting your body helps to avoid muscle imbalances and injuries as well.

Third, it's a functional training which translates well into the real world.

 

Why do you recommend to start with Kettle-Bell training ?

Welcome to probably the most efficient weight training. Thanks to the Soviets for popularising the kettle-bell or KB. If you really want to lift weights, start with the kettle-bell, it's a complete gym in your hands. It's possible to do a complete body workout with this tool. Kettle-Bell training can develop a wide range of attributes such as dynamic strength, endurance, muscle building.

Kettle-Bell training is very efficient as you simultaneously train your strength, speed and endurance. They are really good at increasing hip mobility, hamstring flexibility, stabilizing the spine and developing supple shoulders, of course it must be done correctly and with good posture. We not against weight training! First, we recommend to start  by lifting your own weight against gravity. 

 

What is Bodyfight360?

It's our official kicking and punching full body cardio workout. On average, in 30 minutes you could burn about 300 calories if you weigh 75 kg and 750 if you weigh 150 kilos. It's all based on your weight and fitness level. Bodyfight360 combines many Martial arts techniques from boxing, Karate, Brazilian jujitsu, kickboxing and Thai boxing. We take moves such as the kick, punch, knee and others from these various disciplines and incorporate them into our training in a non contact environment.  It's a whole body workout using most of your muscles, and it's conducted at timed intervals and at different speeds to increase lung and heart capacity.  It will help you to define muscles and achieve a toned body.

As well as the physical benefits,you will also learn self defense moves with our training. It's also the best stress reliever as you get a chance to channel your negative emotions in a safe physical activity. It will also help to boost your self confidence and self esteem and help to overcome your insecurities.


Why  exercise is considered the best medicine?

It is well known fact that exercise is the best medicine. Your medical bills will get smaller, your life longer, your stress will be reduced and you will get a boost of happiness and good energy.  To get the most from it you have to use it in small doses daily. Inactivity causes many chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity. Exercise is the best cure for this problems. It helps us to relax and be happier. It helps our brain to function better and releases plenty of dopamine.

 


Nutrition

Why flexible nutrition?

Here is the good news! We love simplicity, minimalism and flexibility. The quality and source of calories is more important than the amount of calories.  How can you equate 500 calories from chips or soft drinks to 500 calories from good quality vegetables and protein?   

I have a few simple rules when it comes to nutrition:

  1. Eat when you are hungry. We disapprove of fad diets which are too focused  on one type of nutrients such as protein, carbs or fat. 

  2. Eat less. Eat smaller portion, we recommend to use smaller plates.  

  3. Eat slowly. Do not rush your meals, allow your body time to absorb the food and to tell you when you have had enough.  Often we eat too fast and as a result eat too much.

  4. Eat breakfast. We recommend you start your day with a glass or two of pure water followed by a healthy breakfast. A healthy breakfast helps to kick your metabolism and makes you feel more energised for the day. A start like this can help you feel like a king. After a good healthy breakfast we stay fuller for longer and we are not as reliant on snacking. Snacking on high calorie and low nutritional value foods and drinks can be huge problem for gaining extra weight

  5. Eat locally sourced and wholesome foods.  We advocate for a balanced and healthy diet and avoiding processed foods as much as we can.  Home cooked meal tastes better and, on positive side, you probably burn 100 calories while cooking and preparing food.  The nutritional value of local, organic and seasonal food is far higher than ready made meals with a high salt and sugar content.

  6. Eat mindfully.  Eat breakfast as a king, lunch as a prince and dinner as a pauper.

Stick with SLOW and avoid CRAP (SLOW, LOCAL, ORGANIC, WHOLESOME AND AVOID CARBONATED, REFINED, ARTIFICIAL AND PROCESSED)

More on nutrition

  It's much easier to be vegetarian in India or Asia when you have an abundance of fresh local fruit and vegetables available year round. On top of that you have plenty of sunshine year round, which helps with vitamin D as well. Eskimos have a nearly carbs free nutrition, and mostly survive on fat and proteins.  The point is, our nutrition must be adaptable to where we live. Our bodies  have different genetics and compositions . Our nutrition advice is that we must eat more local and clean food. We recommend  to eat organic, grass fed and locally sourced meat, chicken, pork and etc. However, try to be moderate and eat only once or twice per week.  Grass fed beef has a natural taste and has more healthy benefits. We love healthy, grass fed meat from sustainable farms. However, finding good quality meat can be very hard sometimes.
